Organized Minds — Academic and ADHD Coaching

The right support can make what feels impossible feel manageable.

How We Help

Coaching built around how your teen actually works

We meet students where they are and build practical systems for school, home, and everywhere in between.

Academic Coaching

Hands-on support for planning assignments, studying effectively, and staying on top of coursework without the last-minute scramble.

ADHD Coaching

Strategies tailored to an ADHD brain — for focus, task initiation, and motivation — that build confidence instead of frustration.

Executive Functioning Support

Real systems for organization, time management, and planning that students can actually keep up with on their own.

Parent Support & Consultation

Guidance for parents navigating school systems and home routines — so the whole family is working from the same playbook.

Meet the Team

Two coaches, one goal: helping your teen thrive

Danielle Best, ADHD and Academic Coach

Danielle Best

ADHD and Academic Coach

With over 18 years of experience in education, Danielle brings both expertise and heart to her work as an academic and executive functioning coach. She has spent nearly two decades helping students with diverse learning needs build the organization, time management, and task-initiation skills that make school feel manageable rather than overwhelming.

Her approach is calm, supportive, and highly personalized. Danielle meets each student where they're at, breaking things down into manageable steps so they can feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress — while working closely with families to create an encouraging environment where students can truly thrive.

Melina Viola, ADHD and Academic Coach

Melina Viola

ADHD and Academic Coach

With over 15 years of experience as a behavioural health professional, Melina specializes in supporting children, teens, and adults with Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. She connects with young people in a way that feels natural and genuine, building the kind of trust that makes real growth possible rather than just short-term compliance.

She has a gift for breaking big, overwhelming goals down into manageable steps so students can build confidence and create real, lasting change. Her strengths-based method empowers clients to take ownership of their own growth, and she works just as closely with parents to keep progress at home in step with progress in session.

Why Organized Minds

Support that fits your teen, not the other way around

Every student's brain works differently, so every coaching plan should too. We start with your teen's strengths, listen closely to what's actually getting in the way, and build strategies around how they think — not a one-size-fits-all program.

We work collaboratively with families every step of the way, because lasting change happens when school, home, and coaching are all pulling in the same direction. Our goal isn't just a more organized backpack — it's a more confident, capable teen.

Strengths-based

We build on what's already working, not just what isn't.

Personalized

Every plan is shaped around your teen, not a template.

Family-collaborative

We keep parents informed and involved throughout.

Families We've Worked With

What other parents have noticed

"Homework used to be a fight every single night. A few months in, our son actually opens his planner without being asked. That alone changed the whole mood in our house."
Parent of an 8th grader
"What I appreciated most was how personalized it felt. Her coach didn't hand her a generic system — they built one around how she actually thinks."
Parent of a high school sophomore
"We tried a lot of things before this. The difference is that Organized Minds kept us in the loop the whole way, so it never felt like we were guessing what was working."
Parent of a college freshman

Common Questions

What parents usually want to know

No — Organized Minds is a coaching practice, not a clinical or medical service. We focus on practical, strengths-based strategies for organization, motivation, and follow-through, rather than diagnosis or treatment. Many families work with us alongside a therapist or medical provider; coaching complements that care rather than replacing it.

Sessions are collaborative and practical. Your coach checks in on what's working and what's not, then helps your teen build or adjust real systems — for planning assignments, managing time, or starting tasks that feel hard to begin. It's less lecture, more working session.

We offer both, depending on what works best for your family and schedule. Many students find virtual sessions just as effective, since so much of the work involves digital tools like planners, calendars, and school portals anyway.

We primarily work with middle school, high school, and college-age students, adjusting our approach to fit each student's age, independence level, and specific challenges. Get in touch if you're not sure whether coaching is the right fit for your teen's age or situation.

Every student is different, but many families notice small, concrete wins — fewer missing assignments, less conflict over homework — within the first few weeks. Building lasting habits takes longer, which is why we check in regularly and adjust the plan as your teen grows more independent.
